Job Description

Are you a payroll professional in the truest sense of the term? Do you enjoy satisfying clients who have high expectations and complex requests? Our client is looking for a payroll professional who can be a reliable part of a team providing day-to-day support to its high-end clients. You'll have the option to work in San Francisco, Redwood, City, San Jose or Walnut Creek.

What you will do:

* Provide multiple clients with a variety of accounting, payroll and administrative services
* Process clients' payroll in a timely and accurate manner
* Verify timesheets and wage computations, resolving discrepancies
* Maintain all payroll and employee records
* Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
* Coordinate on-boarding and off-boarding for client's employees
* Track and reconcile leave balances for client's employees
* Provide verifications of employment and respond to UI claims
* Prepare reports for various audits
* Answer employee HR and payroll questions and concerns
* Respond to client requests and inquiries
* Special projects for the Family Office management team

What we're looking for:



* Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred
* 3-5 years of experience with at least two years of full-cycle, multi-state payroll processing experience as a paymaster
* Work for companies such as Paychex, ADP, SAP or Oracle where you were required to answer customer questions while processing pay
* Processed payroll for a minimum of 200 employees
* Processed multiple payrolls in one day from beginning through end, including funding and benefits
* Extensive experience with payroll processing software, such as Paychex and ADP
* Experience processing employee benefits and other HR administrative duties
* Supervisory payroll experience preferred
* Significant experience with Microsoft Excel
* Experience with QuickBooks
* Strong project management and client service skills
* Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred
* Current authorization to work in the United States
