Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a dynamic interim opportunity? Our client, a top-tier architectural firm with a small firm feel with a global footprint, is seeking an Interim HR Manager to join their Alameda office on a temporary basis for 6-7 months, covering for a leave of absence. This role will play a key part in driving HR operations and supporting 200 employees, ensuring smooth HR functions and maintaining unique company culture.

This role supports the U.S. and liaises with the HR Manager in India. They’ve had the privilege to work with renowned brands like Rivian, Nike, Tiffany, and Williams Sonoma. They foster collaboration, creativity, and community while offering a supportive and fun work environment.

What You Will Do:

• Lead recruitment efforts and facilitate staff movements, overseeing an internal recruiter.
• Direct compensation, benefits, and performance management strategies.
• Oversee training and professional development programs, using third-parties.
• Manage employee relations and resolve issues through coaching and counseling.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Supervise HR staff and provide weekly updates to leadership.
• Oversee HR best practices aligned with our company culture.
• Coordinate immigration efforts.
• Handle multiple assignments and ensure HR functions are cost-effective.

What We Are Looking For:

• 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency with HR systems, with ADP Workforce Now experience as a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of California state and federal employment laws.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills.
• Ability to integrate quickly into a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
