As Head of People and Culture, you will be part of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. You will be charged with ensuring that all people and culture programs are aligned with business objectives. You will be responsible for all aspects of human resources and facilities functions

What you'll do:

  • You will be accountable for People and Culture strategy in both our US and UK sites and will promote continuity in culture, practices, policies and programs throughout the organization
  • Manage a People and Culture team in the US and in the UK
  • Provide counsel to the executives and leaders on all employee related matters, with the goal of building an effective and positive work environment with lasting employee satisfaction
  • Oversee talent acquisition and retention, ensuring a positive experience for candidates, existing staff, and hiring managers
  • You will own the performance management process and continually iterate to make it a more effective and satisfying experience for employees and managers. This includes continually assessing how to best promote the professional development of our staff
  • Maintaining and enhancing a total rewards program
  • Provide recommendations to the compensation committee
  • As part of Total Rewards, you will also own additional employee benefits and rewards programs such as paid time off programs, 401(k) programs, service awards and will be the chief point person responsible for ensuring client’s total rewards meet the needs of existing staff but also the competitive market for prospective hires
  • Drive and maintain workplace culture, engaging with employees at all levels of the organization to assess their experience. You will develop and implement strategies to nurture a collaborative, transparent, and innovative culture that integrates client’s values and mission as an organization
  • Stay current on HR best practices, including People and Culture trends, introducing new programs as appropriate
  • Provide leadership to the Facilities team members in both the US and UK
  • Ensure the workplace is a safe place to work and in compliance with all State and Country regulations across both office locations in the US and the UK

What We're Looking For:

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible HR management experience
  • A Master’s degree in Human Resources or related area is desired. HR certification is preferred but not required
  • A business savvy focus on driving HR results with great people management and development skills using both left and right brain skills
  • Exceptional coaching, influencing, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Able and willing to travel to the UK on a regular basis
  • A thorough understanding of compensation issues and analysis
  • A strong desire to achieve excellence and the ability to hold self and others accountable for high quality, timely and effective results
  • A high degree of professionalism, discretion and sound judgment
  • A strong commitment to creating a positive and engaging work environment
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills including being able to work effectively across all levels within the organization
  • Strong working knowledge of California and federal employment laws and practices in addition to knowledge and experience leading HR functions in the UK
