A Sunnyvale medical equipment maker needs a Benefits Coordinator for Leave of Absence (LOA) administration. This role is 25 hours per week. You will take ownership of the entire LOA function. The client is open to flexible scheduling during the week.

What you'll do:

  • Leave request intake
  • Eligibility determination
  • Send required notices, forms and letters
  • Independently approve or deny leave cases based on relevant medical information
  • Research and resolve discrepancies between associates and leave request
  • Monitor, track and maintain LOA documentation, files and data
  • Compile employee data and submit information regarding any state leave
  • Coordinate with associate, manager, HR and payroll department to monitor associates on leave

What we're looking for:

  • At least 4 years of experience with LOA administration
  • Knowledge of federal and state LOA and ADA laws and regulations
  • Highly organized
  • Can work independently as well as within a team
  • Strong communication skills are essential, verbal and written, as you'll be working with many different levels of employees
